J Experiences Headed Your Way!

A woman with long brown hair, wearing a black blouse and earrings, smiles in front of a dark background.

Our JCA heard the message and we are responding! We are bringing a taste of what we offer at the JCA to different parts of town in a variety of spaces – and so far these J Experiences are incredible! Practicing Yiddish together to Tu B’Av Yoga under the stars in the planetarium at MOSH made me realize how fortunate I am to share what the JCA does with people beyond our building walls – and I am excited to say that there are even more J Experiences to come!

On Tuesday, November 5 at 11 am, our JCA’s Grant Helm, Yoga Instructor, RYT 200 Certified Yoga Teacher, and Personal Trainer is heading to St. Augustine to bring Sound Bowl Meditation to the St. Johns Council on Aging Center at UF Health Nocatee, 351 Town Plaza Ave, Suite 205, Ponte Vedra. This special off-site session is in partnership with River Garden Senior Services. You do not want to miss this free sound bowl session, according to Grant, this meditation will aim to calm the mind, body, and spirit, before the rush of the holiday season

“I’m proud to be part of an interfaith program themed around prayer,” says Hazzan Jesse Holzer with the Jacksonville Jewish Center. Hazzan Holzer along with Rev. Rebekah Hutto and Rev. Dana Riley are among the local religious leaders joining us for Clergy Coffee & Conversation in partnership with the Interfaith Center of Northeast Florida at 10 am on Wednesday, November 13 at Riverside Presbyterian Church.

“We hope the theme of prayer will lead to passionate and meaningful dialogue among people of differing faith traditions,” explains Rev. Dana Riley, Associate Pastor of Community Outreach at Riverside Presbyterian Church. If you are curious about what different faiths think about important topics, I encourage you to join us on Nov 13 for this unique time of fellowship and learning.
