The Jewish Community Alliance (JCA) is a non-profit community center affiliated with the Jacksonville Jewish Federation, the United Way of Northeast Florida and the Jewish Community Centers of North America. Director of Marketing

Full Time: Full benefits package including health and dental insurance, HSA, 401(k) and PTO.

Department: Marketing

Description: The Director of Marketing will be responsible for leading and executing brand building strategies and managing communications that promote JCA programs and activities; developing innovation and contributing to the shaping of the long-term positioning across our portfolio of offerings.

  • Marketing Planning: Define and develop marketing strategies and establish measurements for evaluating success.
  • Budgeting: Develop an annual spending plan and a process for managing the marketing budget.
  • Collaborate: Work with JCA departments and community partners to promote programs.
  • Manage all digital and print collateral/communications including publications, ads, posters, and signage, both internal and external.
  • Digital Marketing: Oversee e-mail marketing and distribution of social media messages, specifically execution of member bulletins, newsletters, e-mails.
  • Lead the creation of effective video content to drive member engagement.
  • Brand voice: Define, develop and implement a brand strategy that provides for coherent brand identity and successfully upholds the brand voice across the JCA’s communications.
  • Public Relations: Raise the profile of the JCA in earned media coverage.
  • Leadership and coaching: Mentor/supervise junior staff by providing guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Editing: Keep a critical eye on clear and succinct communication, tone of voice, and appropriate messaging.
  • Participate in senior management meetings.
  • Experience working with American Jewish Community, non-profit and fundraising a plus.


  • 5 years of marketing – ideally with a strong community marketing component.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team.
  • Working knowledge of social media marketing on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.; Experience telling a story in digital/social media world desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and work effectively with a wide variety of people across multiple units to develop strategies, maintain quality within budget and the effective use of resources to achieve goals.
  • Proficiency in WordPress and other website management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Certified Pilates Reformer Instructor

Part Time: $30 – $35 an hour

Department: Fitness and Wellness

Description:Seeking a highly motivated, friendly, and energetic Pilates Reformer Instructor to join our fitness team. Instructors must have a desire to build a successful business in an entrepreneurial environment by developing relationships with potential and existing clients and receive commission based on sessions. We are looking for punctual, reliable and dedicated instructors with confidence in working with all levels of clients to provide challenging, fitness-based Pilates classes in a safe manner. Early morning availability (5:30 – 8 am) and weekend availability are preferred.


  • Current full apparatus Comprehensive Pilates Certification is preferred but not required, must have certification in training standard Reformer, Trapeze or Cadillac with 250 hours of experience or equivalent.
  • Current Pilates Mat certification and experience teaching group classes.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective private, duet or trio Pilates Reformer instruction.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid
  • Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Group Fitness Instructor certifications from a nationally accredited organization preferred.
  • A degree in Exercise Science or a related field preferred.

On-Call Receptionist

Department: Accounting

Description and Qualifications:  Attention to detail and customer service experience is required.  A working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is needed.  This position requires the ability to multi task in an environment that is fast paced.

Swim Instructor/Coach

Part Time: Potential to earn up to $24 an hour with group and private lessons.

Department: Aquatics

Description:  Instructor/Coach needed to work with kids and adults. Will work with beginners to more advanced swimmers in our two pools. Flexible hours during daytime and evening available.

Qualifications: American Red Cross Certified Swim Instructor. Minimum 1 year experience.

Part Time

Department: Aquatics

Description: Guard responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ensuring safety and responding to emergency situations within training scope, swim testing, chemical testing, basic cleaning, reporting to aquatics managers.

Qualifications: American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified and willing to undergo a background check.
