Payroll/HR Benefits Coordinator

Full Time: Full benefits package including health and dental insurance, HSA, 401(k) and PTO.

Department: HR

Description: The Payroll and HR/Benefits Specialist position is responsible for the hands-on processing of all in house payroll, from the verification of timecard accuracy to the creation of employee payroll checks. The position is also responsible for employee personnel files, maintenance of PTO/holiday plans and administration of all employee benefits. The position has growth potential as payroll processes are streamlined and the HR role expands.

Qualifications: Must be knowledgeable of and comply with all relevant State and Federal laws. Experience in bookkeeping and accounts payable is a plus.

Assistant Teacher (2-3 year olds)

Description: Job Duties generally include but are not limited to:

  • Developing lesson plans
  • Creating a safe, nurturing environment for children
  • Effectively communicating with both staff and parents
  • Planning and implementing age appropriate activities
  • Meeting the needs of the children
  • Participating in staff meetings and additional training

Qualifications:

  • CDA or Degree in Education (Required)
  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility (Preferred)
  • Completion of DCF 45 hours (Preferred)
  • First Aid/CPR Training (Preferred)

Youth Services Program Coordinator

Hourly; part-time; non-exempt.

Department: Youth Services

Description: Assist the Youth Services Director with the supervision of the after-school program (being lead in day-to-day operations), JCAtion days, winter break camp, spring break camp and summer camp. Assist in planning, coordinating and implementing classes, programs and activities for youth of all ages. Research and develop new programs.

Qualifications: Minimum two years college; degree preferred. Prior experience in children’s program planning, camps, afterschool programs and supervision preferred.

Jewish Educator and Jewish Programs Coordinator

Hourly; 20 hours per week; non-exempt

Department: Family and Jewish Outreach

Description: The responsibility of this position is to create and develop a variety of Jewish programs that inform/educate and contribute to a dynamic Jewish atmosphere throughout the JCA and community. This position will be a resource to other staff and Board members in the implementation of our Jewish mission. Additionally, this position will supervise and work closely with the community shaliach as well as the Jewish community at large including partner agencies, Federation and synagogues. Work will require evenings and weekends as programs dictate.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

On-Call Receptionist

Department: Accounting

Description and Qualifications:  Attention to detail and customer service experience is required.  A working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is needed.  This position requires the ability to multi task in an environment that is fast paced.

Swim Instructor/Coach

Part Time: Potential to earn up to $24 an hour with group and private lessons.

Department: Aquatics

Description:  Instructor/Coach needed to work with kids and adults. Will work with beginners to more advanced swimmers in our two pools. Flexible hours during daytime and evening available.

Qualifications: American Red Cross Certified Swim Instructor. Minimum 1 year experience.

Department: Aquatics

Description: Guard responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ensuring safety and responding to emergency situations within training scope, swim testing, chemical testing, basic cleaning, reporting to aquatics managers.

Qualifications: American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified and willing to undergo a background check.
