Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, and a graduate of the University of North Florida, our J Institute Director Heather Terrill, joined the JCA family in 2015. With a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Heather’s career has mainly been focused on arts and culture, as an art teacher, museum educator and business owner. At the JCA, Heather curates the Vandroff Gallery, hosts the annual Berman Family JCA Concert Series, Ladies’ Day at the J and works alongside Rachel Sandler to organize the annual JCA Cultural Arts Festival. Heather is responsible for adult programming at the JCA, known as the J Institute. J Institute programming encompasses fun off-site excursions, educational classes, lectures, art classes, wellness programs and more!
Heather also serves as a member of the Art in Public Places Committee with the Greater Cultural Council of Jacksonville. When she is not at the JCA, Heather enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Nate, and their five children going on adventures to find new places to explore!
