Overview

In its fourth year, Kaytana offers an enriching experience where your camper can immerse themselves in a subject of special interest. Each weekly program is designed for the acquisition of new knowledge and skills within a concentrated timeframe – all while having a great time! Our professional staff ensure high-quality curriculum and instruction. Snacks and supplies are included.

Children are required to bring a dairy lunch for the 9 am – 3:30 pm programs.

Minimum enrollment is necessary for each program.

Please note that, due to the skill building nature and concentrated time frame of these offerings, swim time is not offered as part of this program.

Knight School Chess is a fun, high-energy experience where kids celebrate new chess tactics with silly videos, music driven puzzlers, colorful Tactixbands, chess movies and clock slapping tournaments! All skill levels are welcome in this stress-free and fun learning environment.
Coding FUNdamentals (Grades 1 – 6)

Dive into the basics of coding with a fun and interactive introduction. Campers will learn fundamental coding concepts through exciting projects, games and activities while setting the foundation for future programming adventures. Personal devices recommended but not required.
It’s Magical! (Grades 1 – 3)

Magic campers will learn how to perform amazing classic magic tricks with magician JULIUS MAGIC using real magician’s props which they get to keep. At the end of each week, they will perform a magic show for their parents and friends.
Mind Over Mat(ter) (Grades 1 – 6)

Nurture the mind and body through yoga, meditation and mindfulness exercises. Campers will develop focus, resilience and relaxation techniques that promote a balanced and centered lifestyle. Please bring your own yoga mat.

Fencing Clinic (Grades 3 – 9)

Fencers of all skill levels are invited to train with world champion Bill Becker to learn the art of fencing. Campers will gain confidence through games, footwork, coordination, fencing drills and bouts.
Shark Tank (Grades 1 – 9)

Dive into this fin-tastic journey as young entrepreneurs take their budding business skills to the next level. This Shark Tank themed program empowers kids to develop creative ideas, make a pitch, and brand their own products.

Make A Skirt Collection (Grades 1 – 9)

Students will learn how to sew and make two skirt styles. This is a great camp for students who are interested in fashion design and sewing. Campers will learn how to encase elastic to make a waistband, straight stitching and hemming. Campers will learn how to thread and operate a sewing machine and create a bonus matching accessory such as a headband or scrunchies.
Shark Tank (Grades 1 – 9)

Campers will make fashion art out of unconventional materials such as paper, tape, cups, balloons, fibers, strings and more. They will explore surface design changers with fabric dying, painting, stamping and distressing. This camp will focus on creating fun funky designs that are outside of the standard idea of fashion. Campers receive lessons on how to operate a sewing machine and will construct items with the machine, adhesives and hand sewing. This is a great camp to express creativity!

Sewing is a great skill to learn and utilize to make some of the coolest things. This class will focus on learning the fundamentals of sewing. Students will create 4 – 6 guided sewing projects while learning to sew on a sewing machine. Campers will create plush toys, tote bags, pillows and more. Some of the skills learned are hemming, top stitching, encasing elastic, and mastering straight seams. All supplies such as fabric and notions are included in your fee.

Join us for this thrilling introduction to the world of the JCC Maccabi Youth Games, an Olympic-style event for Jewish youth and teens. Campers will learn agility, sportsmanship, and hand-eye coordination. Each day focuses on a specific sport, ranging from ultimate frisbee, flag football, soccer, tennis, to volleyball.
Paint with All the Colors (Grades 1 – 9)

Dive into the fascinating world of watercolor, tempera and acrylic paints while discovering techniques that will elevate your painting skills to new heights. Campers will focus on the foundations of painting using various subject matters.
Sew Fun Doll House (Grades 1 – 6)

Even the smallest hands can learn to sew in this fun doll house themed week. Campers will create a stackable doll house while making pillows, rugs, carpet, clothing items and furniture. Campers will spend part of their time learning hand sewing, painting and building.
