What is MELT?

The MELT Method® is a science-backed, self-care technique designed to help you stay active, enhance performance, and eliminate the stress accumulated before it causes persistent pain and dysfunctions.

Using specially designed MELT-certified soft rollers and balls, the practice blends mindful meditation and breathwork techniques to help boost the body’s natural healing mechanisms with self-myofascial restorative techniques that simulate hands-on therapeutic practices.

A hands-off bodywork technique where daily self-care practice can effectively improve your sense of well-being and live a more active, healthy life, there are multiple benefits to the MELT Method. The system, using MELT soft tools, increases fluid flow through the hands and feet, and to the connective tissues or fascia of the entire body, creating a chain reaction to reduce pain, stiffness, stress, and tension.

I am proud to lead MELT classes on Sunday at the JCA as our Certified MELT Method Instructor. By teaching a variety of techniques, I can help our members experience what works for them so they can quickly learn the practice and use this specialized self-care safely at home.

Members please be aware, MELT is not a replacement for your exercise routines and workouts, and it is not a stretching nor a foam roller program. Whether you are a desk worker or a high-performance athlete, practicing MELT can help restore fascia to a healthy and supportive state. Life itself with repetitive and everyday movements causes dehydration in the fascia which can lead to issues like back pain, joint pain, tension and MELT can help the connective tissue surrounding every muscle, organ, bone, blood vessel, and nerve fiber in your body.
