Voting went live today, and we need your vote to get in the Top 3 and win a grant for our Sensory Safe Swimming program! Our JCA was nominated in the LifeFitness/Hammer Strength® contest because of all the things we do to improve quality of life with our Sensory Safe Swimming program. With your votes, we can win a $2,500 grant from LifeFitness/Hammer Strength for our inclusive aquatics program. Designed specifically for autistic children and adults, Sensory Safe includes adaptive swim instruction, led by our JCA’s Red Cross-certified instructors with sensory-aware training.
For many families, this is the first aquatics program they experience where their child is truly supported, and we believe it is critical for a foundation of wellness around water. Through partnerships with the North Florida School of Special Education and Special Olympics Florida, our JCA is truly making a difference in providing access to aquatics and fitness programs at an early age, assuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.
