Jewish Community Alliance to Celebrate Grand Opening of Major Campus Expansion on November 15

We’re excited to celebrate a major milestone in our campus expansion with our official Lobby Reopening and Grand Opening Ceremony on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
Through our Building Our Future Together capital campaign, we’ve secured more than $19.7 million to support this transformation, representing one of the largest capital campaigns and renovation fundraising efforts in Northeast Florida.
Since our founding in 1988, we’ve grown alongside the Jacksonville community, guided by our commitment to connection, service, and opportunity. This investment builds on that legacy, creating new possibilities for our members and families while strengthening the programs and facilities that make the JCA such a special place.
Expanding Opportunities for Children and Families
Our expansion added more than 15,000 square feet of space through a new two-story building, along with significant expansions and upgrades to our early childhood education, afterschool, and camp programs. These improvements give us more opportunities to help children learn, grow, explore, and thrive.
Our preschool enhancements include a dedicated art studio that encourages creativity and self-expression, a gross motor room for indoor play and physical development, and a sensory room where children can decompress and regulate in a supportive environment. Any child who needs a break can use the sensory room, with or without an Individualized Education Program (IEP).
These spaces reflect our commitment to supporting the varied needs of children and creating an environment where every child can feel welcome and supported.
Investing in Our Community’s Future
Beyond improvements for children and families, we’ve expanded our fitness and wellness opportunities and modernized our campus throughout.
We’ve also enhanced security in the J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver Welcome Area and throughout our campus to help us provide a safer, more welcoming environment for our members, families, and guests.
Together, these improvements give us the space, amenities, and resources to support the continued growth of our signature programs and serve our community for years to come.
