“Together Against Hate: Promoting Unity in Our Community” Returns for its Third Year
September 09, 2025

2025-26 topics include youth mental health, Jew-hatred, indigenous people, Ethiopian Jews, and human trafficking
In a world increasingly marked by division and misunderstanding, “Together Against Hate: Promoting Unity in the Community,” presented by the Jewish Community Alliance and the First Coast YMCA, returns to provide a platform for education, dialogue, culture, and connection across Jacksonville’s diverse communities.
Guided by the belief that education is the pathway to meaningful dialogue and change, the 2025-26 series will feature programs ranging from cultural celebrations and global culinary experiences to the history of Jew-hatred and learning how to prevent human trafficking and support victims living in Jacksonville.
The 2025-26 events will begin at 7 pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, with a critical conversation for parents, educators, and community leaders: the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents. One in five children and teens live with mental health conditions; the earlier issues are diagnosed, the greater impact caregivers, parents, and friends can have. Hosted at The LJD Jewish Family & Community Services, the opening event this year includes a panel of local clinicians who will share insights and strategies to support young people who face daily challenges.
The series will once again culminate in a public display of unity as hundreds of runners and walkers gather for the 3rd annual “Racing Against Hate” 5K Run/Walk. The race will take place at 1 pm on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the Winston Family YMCA in Riverside. All ages are encouraged to attend. Keep reading for a full list of the 2025-26 “Together Against Hate” events. Registration details and more information will be posted on TogetherAgainstHateJax.org and shared on the Together Against Hate Facebook page.
