With the ongoing renovations on campus comes reflections and many questions from our youngest members. Rather than seeing construction as a disruption, the students in our Michele Block Gan Yeladim Preschool & Kindergarten see the beauty and discovery involved in the process. The children who come here are embracing the changes all around campus.
This short video captures some powerful moments from the school year when our students received a special invitation from the construction workers on the other side of the fence. Throughout the year, the children reached out with notes, drawings, and ‘hellos’ to the workers on the other side of the fence. All involved were moved by a deep and natural desire to connect. As one child exclaims in the video, “we got over the fence!” This moment made relational learning more visible to our teachers, the construction crews, and within our children. It was built and happened because of shared experiences, trust, and the recognition that every gesture of connection matters.
