Born and raised in Jacksonville, Julia Breen joined our JCA in 2020 as a Lead After School Counselor and was promoted to Youth Services Assistant Director in 2023.

Julia earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of North Florida in 2023 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the same field, focused on advocating for the rights of children.

With a passion for creating supportive learning environments for our youth, Julia says there is something magical about watching kids grow, explore and learn at our JCA. Encouraging creativity, making memories, and helping children develop a sense of belonging, Julia says the most fulfilling aspect of her position is being a positive role model to the children who spend time at the JCA.

When Julia is not at the JCA, she loves spending time at the beach with friends and family, and cheering on her favorite football team – Go Jags!
