Dear JCA Members, Families, and Friends,
We are closely monitoring the events unfolding in the Middle East following the recent conflict involving Iran. We understand that world events can create feelings of unease, particularly when tensions involve Israel and the broader Jewish community.
I want to communicate clearly and directly: at this time, there are no credible threats to the Jewish community nationally or here in Northeast Florida.
That said, we never take safety for granted.
The Jewish Community Alliance maintains a strong and proactive security posture at all times. Our staff are trained to recognize and respond to anything out of the ordinary, and we routinely review and reinforce our security procedures. Vigilance and preparedness are part of our daily operations — not just in moments like this, but always.
We are in regular contact with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, and we work closely with the Secure Community Network (SCN), the official safety and security organization for the Jewish community in North America. We are also grateful for our close partnership with the Jewish Federation and local law enforcement leadership, who stand ready to ensure our community remains safe.
While heightened rhetoric online may accompany global events, we remain focused on facts, preparedness, and partnership. The safety of our members, children, guests, and staff is our highest priority.
We remain committed to transparent communication. Should circumstances change, we will keep you informed promptly and clearly.
The JCA has always been a place of strength, connection, and resilience. We are proud to continue providing a safe and welcoming environment for our entire community.
If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
With care and resolve,
Adam Chaskin
Chief Executive Officer
Jewish Community Alliance
