Each November, the JCA hosts its annual Jewish Cultural Arts Festival with community-wide events to appreciate literature, film and the arts. This year, guests from all over the city came to hear a diverse lineup of authors and enjoy film showings and other events. Once again, the entire festival remained free and open to the entire community, as a direct result of our donors’ generosity, and drew record numbers and outstanding community support.
The 2019 festival opened to a sold-out crowd with YidLife Crisis presents YidLive, presented in partnership with the Jacksonville Jewish Center and the Hannah Setzer Dora Levitt Family Education Fund. The event also included a pre-event meet and greet in partnership with the Young Professionals and Families Division of the Jewish Federation and Foundation of Northeast Florida. The festival also included a collaboration with PJ Library for The Mitzvah Magician, an event for families with young children.
Special thanks to festival chair Sherrie Saag and the entire planning committee for bringing this important cultural arts event to fruition. As always, the JCA Jewish Cultural Arts Festival is self-sustaining and supports cultural arts programming for all ages at the JCA for the entire program year.
